I was driving to work yesterday on such a nasty rainy day. The rain was coming down so hard. Worse than I remember in a long time. My car slipped and slipped again. I realized I had to slow down. I drove carefully the rest of the way to work and was a little worried that I would wreck as the cars and trucks that were barreling by had some trouble to. Through my worry, Jesus flooded my soul with one thought. I have sent tens of thousands of angels around you to protect you. No harm will come to you. The tears quickly sprang to my eyes. Tens of thousands of angels for me? Yes, he loves me that much. He loves you that much too. Oh the power that he has to move heaven and earth for us. For that one moment I thought, how can I worry when He can command the angels to guard me? Lord, thank you for being our protection. The one we can call on, depend on. The one that never leaves.
